Peroxygenase‐Promoted Enzymatic Cascades for the Valorisation of Fatty Acids

Utilisation of fatty acids generally relies on pre-existing functional groups such as the carboxylate group or C=C-double bonds. Addition new functionalities into hydrocarbon part opens up possibilities for acid valorisation. In this contribution we demonstrate synthetic potential a peroxygenase mutant AaeUPO-Fett selective oxyfunctionalisation. The w-1 hydroxy (esters) produced are further transformed lactones, alcohols, esters and amines via multi-enzyme cascades thereby paving way valorization pathways.
